Click the map and follow the lines, look at this map for the Indiantown portion. You will see that the lines and corridor planning have been a long time coming. It is a given in a growing economy when a utility provider wants grow they look for the large load customers. Less fuss, more green. Good business.
So they make sure they get permission to “strategically” place the HIGH CAPACITY INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY GRID INFRASTRUCTURE in places that are good zoning opportunities or have strategic value for purchase and or development. It is what they do. They do it way in advance as well.
The industry does not need a label for industrial customers for economic planning purposes. Meaning, they could care less if it is a data center or a factory as long as they use the same amount of power.
You just need a build-out range and a load usage calculation to project with a reasonable forecast a way through the maze. They just need industrial customers that draw power and require sub-station build out to make very nice money.
A substation can cost $50 – 200 Million dollars. Just like the the substations in question for here in Indiantown. Wonder why some contractors are so for all this?
Here is the interesting part. All of you in Martin that have been thinking this is just an Indiantown issue.
You better look at this map and consider what empty Warehouses could be turned into if they sit too long in a light industrial area in say Palm City. Maybe 95 Bridge road corridor?
