Thank You, Indiantown
To everyone who showed up to Town Hall 2.0 on Saturday โ thank you. Your presence, your questions, and your willingness to engage made the event meaningful. These gatherings only work when residents choose to participate, and your turnout was a clear reminder that people in this community care deeply about what happens here.
We were especially grateful to have Lt. Governor Jay Collins join us and share remarks. His comments offered important perspective, and theyโre worth listening to in full โ particularly as we navigate the challenges facing Indiantown.
For many of us, Saturday was also the first time we had the opportunity to meet the Board of the Greater Indiantown Community Alliance in person. Their work has been vital in pushing back against unchecked development, and it was encouraging to connect directly with the people behind those efforts.
We also spent time discussing the very real and ongoing development pressures in Indiantown โ including the rapid push for data centers and large-scale projects that continue to raise serious concerns about infrastructure, water resources, quality of life, and long-term impacts on our community. These issues are not abstract. They affect our water, our roads, our taxes, and the character of the place we call home.
Thank you again to everyone who came out, asked hard questions, and stayed engaged. These conversations matter. If weโre going to push back effectively against decisions that donโt serve residents, we have to keep showing up, keep asking, and keep holding our local government accountable.
Weโll continue this work together
