“Respect the Rules. Respect the Voters.” Mayor Dipaolo Must Release Proof of Residency

A troubling pattern of conduct regarding voter registration and residency has emerged involving Mayor Carmine Dipaolo, raising serious questions about his respect for the rules of our democracy and his respect for the voters of Indiantown.

In early 2026, sworn affidavits were filed with the Martin County Supervisor of Elections stating that Mayor Dipaolo did not reside at the address listed on his voter registration — 16274 SW Four Wood Way. That property, part of the former Indianwood Co-op, had been sold and was no longer legally available for sublet residential use.

Following the filing of those affidavits, the Supervisor of Elections contacted Mayor Dipaolo. Only then did he update his voter registration to 16300 SW Famel Avenue — the Indiantown Marina — where he now claims to live full-time in a recreational vehicle (RV).

However, it has been confirmed that mail cannot be received at the marina address. Mayor Dipaolo continues to use a post office box (PO Box 398) for all official Village correspondence.

  • Why did Mayor Dipaolo maintain an invalid address on his voter registration for an extended period?
  • Why was the correction made only after he was formally challenged with sworn affidavits?
  • How can voters trust an elected official who claims residency at a location where he cannot even receive mail?
  • His current monthly RV pad rental agreement or lease at Indiantown Marina (16300 SW Famel Avenue), showing the specific site number and dates of occupancy.
  • Proof of ongoing payments to the marina for the RV pad.
  • Any utility or electric hookup records in his name at that address.
  • Any other documentation proving continuous, full-time residency in the Village of Indiantown.

The Village of Indiantown Charter requires that elected officials be qualified electors who reside in the Village. Florida law requires accurate residential addresses on voter registration. These rules exist to protect the integrity of our elections and the trust between leaders and the people they serve.

Voters deserve transparency — not excuses. Mayor Dipaolo has a responsibility to prove that he meets the legal requirements to hold office. The people of Indiantown deserve better than leaders who treat the rules as optional until they are caught.
