FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 11, 2026
Indiantown, FL — New information has surfaced raising serious questions about whether Indiantown Mayor Carmine Dipaolo has maintained a valid and accurate residential address on his voter registration, as required by the Village Charter and Florida law.
In late 2025, sworn affidavits were filed with the Martin County Supervisor of Elections stating that Mayor Dipaolo did not reside at the address listed on his voter registration — 16274 SW Four Wood Way in Indiantown. That property, formerly part of the Indianwood Co-op, had been sold and was no longer available for residential rental use.
Following the filing of those affidavits, the Supervisor of Elections contacted Mayor Dipaolo. He subsequently updated his voter registration address to 16300 SW Famel Avenue — the physical location of Indiantown Marina — where he claims to be living full-time in an RV.
However, it has been confirmed that mail cannot be received at the marina address. Mayor Dipaolo continues to use a post office box (PO Box 398) for all official Village correspondence and business.
Key facts:
- The original address on file was successfully challenged through sworn affidavits.
- The address change occurred only after the Supervisor of Elections intervened.
- The new claimed residential address does not support mail delivery.
- Florida voter registration guidelines require a physical residential address where a voter lives and can be reached, with specific provisions for non-traditional housing such as RVs.
These developments raise legitimate questions about compliance with the Village of Indiantown Charter, which requires elected officials to be qualified electors who reside in the Village and maintain accurate voter registration information.
Mayor Dipaolo is currently seeking re-election in the August 2026 municipal election, with candidate qualifying scheduled for June 8–12, 2026. During qualifying, candidates must provide proof of voter registration, current address, and one year of residency in the Village.
Voters deserve clear answers:
- When did Mayor Dipaolo actually begin residing at the Indiantown Marina address?
- What documentation can he provide to verify full-time residency at that location (rental agreement, utility records, etc.)?
- Why was the original voter registration address allowed to remain inaccurate until challenged through formal affidavits?
The people of Indiantown have a right to know that their elected officials are properly registered to vote and actually reside in the community they serve. These are not partisan questions — they are fundamental questions of eligibility and accountability.
