A Rural Heartbeat is still alive in Indiantown.

Mike had always been a man who kept his head down and got things done. Construction work started before the sun was fully up and often stretched long into the evening. In between the long days, there was the land โ€” a little over two acres just north of Indiantown that he and his wife Sarah had bought when the kids were small. It wasn’t fancy. But it was theirs.

The garden fed the family through most of the year. The chickens gave fresh eggs every morning and taught Emma and Jake where food actually comes from. A couple of goats and the open space gave them all a taste of the rural life Mike and Sarah had both grown up with and wanted to pass on. Life was busy, sometimes exhausting, but it was good. It felt like the right way to raise kids.
